402 Development Academy is a product of Team 402, which is organized as a nonprofit corporation exclusively for charitable educational purposes, and to foster regional, national, or international amateur sports competition under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. No Director, Officer, or any individual will receive any of the net earnings or pecuniary profit from the operation of Team 402. All profit is reinvested to further our mission.
Team 402 works to,
(a) Offer ethical administrative structure for the establishment and management of youth sports teams;
(b) Protect youth athletes and their families from exploitation;
(c) Provide access to the best facilities and coaches for all athletes at all levels, so that an athlete’s Work Ethic alone determines whether s/he reaches their full potential; and
(d) Promote the educational value of youth sports by connecting lessons in Competition, Sportsmanship, Teamwork, Resilience, Confidence, and Accountability to athletic success.
Team 402 is designed to provide young athletes access to coaching, support, and facilities regardless of financial capacity. The Team 402 experience will provide an honest strategy promoting hard work and excellence in a fun environment, allowing all young athletes the opportunity for personal development through exposure to “the team” experience in order to build a foundation of empowerment for life.
