Evans Francis | 2016 Boys | 7v7 Phase Leader

Coach Francis brings a wealth of experience and passion to the game. He is currently the Head Boys Coach at Lincoln Northwest High School and also leads our 2009 Boys Gold and 2016 Boys Gold teams.


A proud alum of Lincoln North Star High School, Coach Francis was a three-year varsity player and went on to play at Iowa Central Community College before transferring to York University. At York, he served as a two-year team captain, helped lead his team to the A.I.I. Conference Championship Game, and received the C3 Award for character, commitment, and competitiveness.

Coach Francis is dedicated to developing young athletes both on and off the field, bringing energy, leadership, and a winning mentality to every team he coaches.


Johnny Gress | 2017 Boys

Born in Laredo, Texas and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, Coach Gress played high school soccer at Lincoln North Star. In 2015, his two game-winning assists earned him a spot on the All-City Team as a defender. He continued his playing career at York University, starting at center back in the 2015 A.I.I. Conference Championship Game.

Johnny holds a U.S. Soccer D License and has led teams to a State Cup title, regional competition, and the USA Cup. He currently serves as the Reserve Head Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach at Lincoln Northwest High School and is a valued member of our 402DA coaching staff.

His coaching philosophy focuses on purpose, detail, and a deep love for the game. He is constantly studying and adapting to today’s evolving style of play.


Ezzat Haider | 2018/19 Boys

Coach Haider has served as an assistant coach with TriCity United Soccer in Fargo, North Dakota from 2019–2022 and has also worked with Villarreal Club from 2023–2024. He became a Nebraska State-certified coach and referee in 2024.


Lexi Adams | 2016 Girls

Coach Lexi is a multi-sport athlete from Waverly, Nebraska, where she earned multiple EMC conference awards in softball, basketball, and soccer. She was recognized as a three-sport athlete throughout high school and served as her soccer team captain her senior year.

Currently a collegiate athlete competing in both soccer and softball at Doane University, Coach Lexi is excited to bring her energy and experience to the field. Her goal is to create a competitive, enthusiastic, and winning culture for her players.


Hannah Wampler | 2017 Girls

Coach Hannah is a Lincoln native who grew up playing at Capital Soccer Association, Gladiator Club, and Toro Club — where her team, Toro Bravo, won two regional championships. In 2013, she was named to the Top 11 Team at Nationals.

She played high school soccer at Lincoln Southeast, reaching two state championships, and continued her career at the University of Nebraska Omaha, where she was named All-Conference every year and earned Summit League Defensive Player of the Year in 2015.

Though she’s been away from the game for a bit, Coach Hannah is thrilled to return to her first love and share her knowledge. Her coaching mission is to instill confidence, a competitive edge, and mutual respect — helping players grow both on and off the field.

Phase Leader | Jeremy Tosaya

Jeremy joins us from Fremont Soccer Club where he served as Director of Coaching. He is also the current head coach at Fremont High School. Jeremy brings over 15 years of collegiate coaching experience and has held leadership roles at the club level, including State Director for both South Dakota and Nebraska. We’re excited for the expertise and vision Jeremy brings to this age group.


2015 Boys | Juan Gonzalez & Antonio Chavez 

Juan Gonzalez takes over as head coach of our 2015 Boys. Having led our 2011 Boys to the State Championship game, Juan has already shown he is an elite-level coach. We’re excited to see him lead this younger group alongside Anna. Juan was a standout player at Norris High School (earning All-State honors) and later at Cloud County, where he finished second in the nation in points.

Antonio Chavez will be joining this age group and will Head Coach a team. Currently serving as the Boys Assistant Coach and JV Head Coach at Omaha Skutt Catholic, Tony brings great energy and enthusiasm that has already made a strong impression at 402DA.


2014 Boys | Sean Fraser

Sean Fraser brings 15 years of collegiate coaching experience, having worked across NCAA Division I, II, and NAIA levels. His coaching background includes developing a Ballon d’Or winner, 15 international players, multiple World Cup participants, and over 30 future professionals. He has led teams to nine conference championships and two national finals.

At the club level, he has worked with Omaha FC, FC Alliance in Knoxville, and WVFC in West Virginia—experiences that align well with our mission at 402DA. He will  lead two teams in this age group and he is excited to help further develop our boys’ program.


2015 Girls | Evans Francis

Coach Francis continues to make a big impact within our program. He currently leads the Boys Varsity team at Lincoln Northwest High School and also coaches our 2009 Boys Gold and 2016 Boys Gold teams.

A Lincoln North Star alum and former college captain at York University, Evans exemplifies leadership, energy, and a winning mentality. He’s passionate about player development both on and off the field, and we’re thrilled to have him guiding this group.


2014 Girls | Anna Farlow

Coach Anna continues her great work with the 2014 Girls. Originally from San Diego, Anna played collegiately at Doane where she also served as team captain. With over a decade of youth coaching experience, Anna brings steady leadership and insight to the group. We’re excited for another strong year under her guidance.

2013 Girls | Thomas Nettleton

Arguably the most decorated coach in Nebraska, Coach Nettleton leads the Lincoln Southwest HS girls’ program—back-to-back state champions—and has built a dynasty.

He will coach this team in the fall, and Sean Fraser will take over in the spring during his high school season. Additional assistant coaches will also support this group.
Coach Nettleton’s accolades include:

  • 81% win rate (194 wins)
  • 2 State Championships
  • 12 District Championships
  • 6 Heartland Conference regular-season titles
  • 6 Tournament Championships
  • 5 LPS City Titles

2013 Girls | Payton Cooley & Grayson Meyer (Co-Coaches)

Payton is the Assistant Coach at Doane University (Women’s Soccer) and co-leads Crete HS with Grayson, a former Doane men’s player. These emerging coaches come highly recommended, and we are excited to support their continued growth within our club.


2012 & 2009 Girls | Benny Hanaphy

Benny is the Head Women’s Coach at York University. A former League of Ireland player and York standout, he just led the program to a 2nd-place KCAC finish—their best ever.

While Benny is visiting family in Ireland, Sean will work with Hannah Wampler (our phenomenal 2017 coach and former D1 Conference Player of the Year) to build these rosters.


2010 & 2007/08 Girls | Sean Fraser

With 15 years of collegiate coaching across NCAA DI, DII, and NAIA, Sean has had the privilege of working with a Ballon d’Or winner, 15 international players, multiple World Cup participants, and 30+ future professionals. I’ve also led teams to nine conference titles and two national finals.

After working recently with some of the 2008 girls, he is confident he can help these groups grow technically and tactically—and he is committed to leveraging his college network to open doors for our players.


2013 & 2012 Boys | Kyle Pond

Kyle is the current Athletic Director at Peru State College.  From 2015-2020, Pond was the Head Men’s Soccer coach at Southwestern College where he rebuilt the program and holds all  school records for most wins in a season, first tournament appearance, highest team GPA, and most wins in a season and 21 all conference players.
 
Pond was a Soccer Coach at Bethany College and Sterling College in 2012. Where he resurrected both programs from diminished rosters and play off draughts to regularly qualify for the conference tournament.

As the Athletic Director at Peru State, Coach Pond will have 6 Saturday commitments to fulfill with PSC Football. We will navigate those conflicts when we set schedules and we anticipate that many of those can be avoided.

He’ll be supported by Jonny Martin in both age groups, we want to fully evaluate what our needs are in the coming weeks with an intention of staffing this age group properly.


2013 Boys | Johnny Gress

A Lincoln North Star alum and former York University center back, Johnny is USSF D-licensed and has led teams to State Cup and regional success. He currently coaches at Lincoln Northwest High School and brings great value to our program. Johnny will Head Coach a team of his own and we are thrilled that he is progressing through 402DA and developing/growing with us.


2011 Boys | Juan Gonzalez & Tony Chavez

2010 Boys | Interim Coach Kevin Martin

As we finalize a new head coach (an offer is out to a strong candidate), Kevin Martin will serve as interim. A long-time club contributor, Kevin provides stability and leadership during this transition.


2009 Boys | Jeremy Tosaya

Jeremy joins from Fremont Soccer Club, where he was DOC, and is also Head Coach at Fremont High School. With 15+ years of collegiate experience and prior roles as State DOC in both Nebraska and South Dakota, Jeremy brings tremendous leadership and vision.


High School Boys | Evans Francis

Coach Francis continues to be a pillar in our program. He currently leads Lincoln Northwest HS (Boys Varsity) and our 2009 & 2016 Boys Gold teams.

A York University alum and former captain, Evans combines passion, presence, and a drive to mentor.


Goalkeeping


Goalkeeping | Antonio Gracia & Wilbur Joya Pereira

We’re incredibly excited to welcome Antonio Gracia to our staff as announced last week. Currently the Assistant Coach at the University of Nebraska Kearney, Tony brings high-level expertise to our goalkeeper program. I’ve long admired his work and am thrilled to have him working with our keepers weekly, offering elite-level training and development.

Wilbur Joya Pereira is the goalkeeping coach at Lincoln Northwest and will join our efforts to provide elite goalkeeping instruction while also coaching a team in our 2014 age group. We are thrilled to add another great resource for our members.
